I ordered a pallet of wood pellets from Liverpool Wood Pellets to see me through the winter, but there's more than enough for me, so if anyone wants a few sacks, give me a shout.

Greenways sells them for £4.75 for 15kg, so if you buy from me at £2.50 per 10kg sack, you're saving £1 per bag on Greenway's prices.

See here for info:

Yeh, cost me £217.95 for 100 x 10kg bags on a pallet, so works out fairly economically really. It's the kind of bedding you need to try, see if you like it. I think Vichy uses it too, but I find it works really well on rubber matting cos it's so absorbant, so it keeps the wee and smell under control and you end up not taking very much out, handy for me when the muck heap is all the way up the field!!

It's on special offer at the mo, so they might put their price back up again soon.

It'll be enough if you've got rubber matting, but it won't be enough if you've just got a concrete floor?

I can't even demonstrate properly at the mo as I've only got one bag in with the rest of my shavings, so it's not turned into the proper sawdust yet.

Have you got other bedding in there as well at the mo? I find it mixes quite well with shavings too, helps dry them out a bit.

Yeah Ive got rubber matting and some shavings left - enough for one bank!! I need something extra absorbent as the drainage is pretty poor and I find that the stable stinks even after mucking out and hosing daily!!! Started stocking up on shredded paper - so will be using that for the banks!!

Definitely worth a try for you then!! Sounds fairly similar to my setup, I've got the matting too but it doesn't drain anywhere! If I use straw which doesn't absorb the damp, hubby says I smell of pee when I come in after mucking out sad.gif

Hiya, I've just bought a pallet load as well. Its fab for bedding and sooooo much more cost effective than shavings or Aubiose. Theres' absolutely no smell from it which is great when you have 2 ex-racehorses who p*** like the proverbial. I would def recommend to anyone. If you run out Lucy or I do, at least we know where to go laugh.gif

Hey Lucy, I'd like to try some. My youngster has just started coming in at night & I've never known anything to make such a mess in their bedroom!!! ohmy.gif

Can't hear her box-walking, but every morning I have to clean the whole stable out - I have threatened to give her just the rubber mats & nothing else, but worried she might hold her wee if I do that!!!

So, can I buy about 8 bags off you please, if you can spare them. I'll give you a ring about collection. Thanks. emo-thumbs.gif

Course you can Belle smile.gif I've brought mine in tonight to save the field a bit, so should have more of a bed system going in the next day or two, so you'll be able to see it in action!

Plenty to share out before I start leaving myself short! Let me know if you want me to bring a few bags up when I come up with the money for Pembrey!
