Hi,

I'd just like to remind everyone about the Crychan Ride on 21st September. The route has been chosen, the loo has been booked but......I haven't got any entries! The route is mainly off the forestry roads on the Crychan Trails including a fantastic ride over our newest track with wonderful views down the Towy Valley. The ride is about 12 miles with loops that can be added or omitted.

I will need to know a rough estimate of numbers about a week prior to the ride to decide whether to go ahead with it or not. So anyone wanting an entry form or further information, either ring me on 01550 750288 or email:mjherbie@aol.com

Having just moved from just down the road from Crychan (well very close!) - I know that Mandy will have got a good route etc together......shame I can't go (still looking for my tack - its in several boxes....somewhere!!!!).

I hope the ride does take place & has lots of enteries!

I'm coming just to need to know who to send entry to and cost again and where to go, cause having had a drive areound i noticed its got several entrances. and i havnt been to this one before. (i know bit thick)
I went to the rhydycwmerea (dont know how to spell) ride had so much fun pootling around on my own, decided to come again and bring a new member.

I would guess that the Venue will be the Brynfo carpark - off the lane twixt Cynghordy & Tirabad - thats the venue that Mandy usually uses - better check with her to make sure! I'm related to Mandy - so I really should find out Don't think I will make it to the ride though.

Dear All

Due to lack of entries we have decided to cancel the ride as a marked route but meet anyway at the venue to have a group ride if anyone wants to join us at a cost of members £5(non members £10) to cover costs already incurred.

Im sure that some intended to come but with insufficient entries to cover costs it does not make financial sense to run it as a marked route.

Please be ready to ride at 11am. The route can be ridden faster or on your own if you wish and a map can be provided. The group ride will not be a fast one and is intended to be a social event. Bring a picnic for afterwards so we can have a chat.

The venue is at Cefn Farm Car Park Crychan Forest

Take the road from LLandovery to Cynghordy (Builth Wells). Turn Right up the hill at Cynghordy signposted Tirabad and the Forest Trail. Immediately turn right and follow the road. The carpark is on the left.
